"City hall eyes traffic circles"
ah... toronto government thinking at its finest...
i'm pretty sure this'll cause more problems than it solves.
it's not just like you can go bazau! traffic circle! and all your traffic woes will disappear...
i just don't think people in toronto are smart enough to handle this sort of thing.
a decrease in t-bone collisions will probably lead to a healthy increase in side-swipes and rear-endings. and can you think of the construction costs??? and traffic nightmares during said construction?!? and businesses on those corners will NOT be pleased. i think they'd rather have a jane-and-7-esque sinkhole open up in the intersection than be stuck with a roundabout - at least a sinkhole will eventually get fixed!
