by all rights, these boneheads should be flipping burgers at mcdonalds, not making millions of dollars a year and living care-free lives... the following is a list of only some of hollywood's famous high school dropouts:
john travolta, jim carrey, nicole kidman
aaron eckhart - dropped out but eventually earned his equivalency so yay!
avril lavigne - twat
leonardo dicaprio, bryan adams, michael j. fox, drew barrymore
hilary swank - maybe if she'd stayed in school, she'd have learned how to be less man-ish
beck, cher, celine dion
michael cane - but he dropped out to join the army... yay?
kurt cobain - just weeks before graduation! so close!
sean connery - joined the navy instead
whoopi goldberg - it was because she was addicted to heroin
elton john, jude law, marilyn monroe, daniel craig, al pacino, quentin tarantino, uma thurman, charlize theron, kate winslet, christina applegate
paris hilton - well, like, duh!
jessica simpson - the girl can't tell fish from chicken; high school was obviously WAY too hard for her...
britney spears - high school's for nerds, y'all!
as much as i enjoy some of the performances from the dumb-dumb club, it doesn't make it right. most of them dropped out of school to persue their careers and in these cases it just happened to work out but not featured here are the other hundreds or thousands of people who did the same thing and didn't make it. it's not a good message to be sending - that you can be successful without finishing school. have a back-up plan! geezes... it's even less fair that actual SMART people people work their assess off and manage to graduate university/college and still can't make ends meet or find a job, etc.
