WHERE do they get the music they play while you're on hold???
are no-name musicians out there quietly making a living recording 'hold music'? or was all that music recorded as 'easy listening' back in the 70s and they just use it over and over and over... and sell it to everyone who needs it? like a 'hold music' union - uniform across the board.
so mellow... is it because they want you to feel at ease?
also, why is the quality of the music so crappy? it's like they recorded off the radio using a hand-held tape recorder!
and then you don't even get to really listen to the mellow, static-y music because they interrupt it every 10 seconds to tell you how important your call is and that a representative will be with you shortly...
